Curriculum Aims

The aims of science education in junior secondary forms are that students should acquire:

  1. some knowledge of the empirical world around them.
  2. an introduction to the scienific language.
  3. an ability to observe critically.
  4. an ability to solve problems and think scientifically
  5. an understanding of the relevance of science to the world beyond school and to the needs of a changing society.
  6. an awareness of the nature of science.
